NEFESH CORE / Getaway. Review By John Patrick Robbins
Label ROCKSHOT RECORDS
Italy’s Nefesh Core, releases its debut album Getaway which the band has described as "the one-way road to get out of a life that’s not giving you the things you really need."
The album opens with the title track Getaway, a melodic masterfully cut track that has hints of the band Him. Yet is something all its own, a fast yet freeing groove metal song with a great mix of keyboard and speed demon guitar work.

The first single from the album is Another Break To Life which is a powerful and moving track as the lead vocalist Dave Brown voice has shades of Peter Steele and blends perfectly with his masterful keyboard playing matched by the bands excellent guitar work.
This album never slows in the least yet also pairs heavy blistering riffs with perfectly melodic metal. As proven in tracks like The Mafia Mentality which is a favorite track of mine from this album and a much heavier track.
The Fortune Lies closes out the album going full throttle and in these days of continual stress provides a great escape Getaway showcases this bands depth and skill exquisitely and only serves one to question.
With this solid of a debut album for NEFESH CORE what's next?
This band certainly hit out the park on their first outing. I highly recommend this album.
